About

I help brands turn ideas, systems, and emerging tools into work people can actually feel.

Do Cool Shit is the working archive.

Kris Layher is a senior creative leader working across culture-led brands, campaigns, creative systems, and AI-era communication.

My work lives in the space between big ideas and the machinery required to make them real: brand platforms, launch campaigns, social systems, adaptive messaging, prototypes, and the operational judgment that keeps ambitious work moving.

I've worked across brands including GMC, Chevrolet, 5-hour ENERGY, Betty Crocker, Wingstop, Sprint, T-Mobile, HomeAway, Johnnie Walker, Burger King, and UNICEF's Tap Project. The role changes by project: leading, concepting, writing, building systems, shaping launches, and making work inside larger creative teams. The standard does not: find the idea, shape the system around it, and make the work better than the brief first allowed.

The archive

What I care about.

I care about work with a point of view.

Work that understands culture without chasing it. Work that uses technology without losing human judgment. Work that can move quickly without becoming careless. Work that can scale without losing its center.

The next era of brand communication will not be defined by more output alone. It will be shaped by organizations that know what they mean, what they can stand behind, and where human judgment still has to hold the line.

That is the work I'm interested in.
